“The Reason for Creation”
Video about the world having a designer?
· The Creator Designed Creation that it might fulfill a certain purpose
· Sense knowledge=knowledge derived from the five senses
· Science shows us what we can learn and observe with our five senses, but it cannot go beyond that.
· Revelation Knowledge= knowledge that is derived from the word of God (the Bible) and understood through the Holy Spirit
o 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 “But we receive not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God: that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the spirit teacheth: combining spiritual things with spiritual words.”
· Reason for the heavens=earth
o Gen 1:14-19
· Reason for earth=man
o Isaiah 45:18 “For thus saith Jehovah that created the heavens, the God that formed the earth and made it, formed it to be inhabited”
· Reason for man= Father heart of God
o Scripture
· Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” The word for God is “Elohim” which is plural, revealing the Trinity.
· Why is it that many Christians do not have faith in God and his promises to them as their heavenly Father? Because our minds have not been renewed by the word. Jesus shows the merciful side of God, but we have to read the word to discover the Fathering nature of God.
· Two attributes of God’s nature that are revealed in creation= Faith and Love
